Blackheads & Whiteheads

Many of us suffered or still suffer from blackheads and whiteheads. However, do we know the difference between them? What are the methods available to treat them?

Blackheads are black-colored dots that you can see on your skin. In dermatology, they are called open comedones.

By comedones, we mean bumps on the skin. Below the comedones, there are hair follicles and pores.

In the case of the blackheads, they become clogged with sebum. Then a chemical reaction occurs with sebum. As a result, melanin loses its electrons and causes pores to turn black.

Whiteheads, also called closed comedones, have a very tiny opening on the top of the skin. Since the pores are small, the air cannot enter inside the skin and cannot participate in the chemical reaction.

Therefore, the color does not change and stays white.

How to treat blackheads and whiteheads? There are many methods out there. However, not all of them may work out for everyone due to the skin type and individual characteristics.

Those who tend to lean towards self-treatment can make things even worse.

Therefore, I would like to suggest that you have a consultation with the dermatologist and then make a decision.

For reference, I am attaching the blackhead treatment that we provide at our clinic.

What is good about this treatment is that only professionals conduct procedures and use non-irritating cosmetics Yonka manufactured in France.
