Tip of the nose: filler injections or fat grafting?
Non-surgical| Editor Nick| Posting update : 2021.02.19
There are different methods to lift the nose bridge and the tip of the nose including surgical and non-surgical procedures.
As an example for surgical procedures, nose bridge and tip of the nose can be raised with the help of a silicone implant. And as far as the non-surgical methods are concerned, there are fat grafting and dermal fillers.
The surgery involves placing an implant or using one's own cartilage to raise the nose bridge or the tip.
However, we do not recommend fat grafting or fillers to life the tip of the nose. You would like to know why?
Unlike the nose bridge, there are no bones on the tip of the nose. When fat is transferred or filler is injected, the tip of the nose will drop and nostrils become blunt and stubby.
Fillers and fat grafting will make things worse and the tip will not look beautiful. Thus, in case of nose tip, we highly recommend the rhinoplasty.
Moreover, it is a risky process to conduct different procedure on the tip of the nose.
Because excessive amount of fat and filler injection being inserted on the tip can restrain the blood flow in the blood vessels which can lead to the necrosis of the tip of the nose and even may deprive the person of the vision ability.
This does not mean that all procedures designed for the tip of the nose are risky. Oftentimes, depending on the person's condition it is possible to conduct.
However, the most important thing that one must always keep in mind is the doctor's or specialist's skills.
Therefore, before undergoing procedures irrespective of whether it is surgical or non-surgical, it is highly recommended to ensure that the doctor possess enough experience and know-how in what he is doing.
