Thread lift - alternative to facelift surgery
Non-surgical| Editor Nick| Posting update : 2021.06.03
The thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure to tighten the sagging skin. Threads pull up the skin through the insertion of threads used for medical purposes into the face and then lift the skin.
The thread lift is a safe procedure with almost no risk and minimal downtime. The process takes around 40 to 45 minutes, and you can resume your daily activities easily right after the procedure.
Threads that the doctor inserts are dissolvable, which means that after one year or one year and a half, the thread starts to dissolve. Similarly, the lifting effect from them also decreases over time.
Many people undergo thread lifts mainly on such areas as jowls or jawline, cheeks, under-eye area, brow line, forehead, etc.
After the procedure, you might feel little pressure, redness on the treated area. However, that is completely normal after the procedure and will go away within a day or two.
The results from thread lift are not permanents. Like Botox and dermal filler injections, after some time, threads will be absorbed completely.
Once done with thread lift, it is not recommended to rub, touch the face. For the first weeks after the procedure, it is advisable to sleep on an elevated pillow.
We also suggest avoiding a hot bath or strenuous physical exercises for the first week after the procedure.
