If you are willing to undergo Lower Blepharoplasty, you might have some questions regarding the aftercare. Though the surgery itself is very important, the aftercare procedure is one of the vital things in the recovery process. Moreover, there are some rules which you should follow to alleviate and accelerate the rehabilitation process.
Generally, it takes around 2-3 weeks to recover from Lower blepharoplasty. For this period of time, you need to take much rest, avoid doing heavy exercises and going to the sauna. During the treatment period, you can either carefully wash your hair at home or get the shampoo service at our clinic. Applying cool and warm eye packs is a must for 5 days after the surgery. This helps to reduce redness, swelling, and bruising.
You should also abstain from drinking alcohol and smoking to make the wound heal faster. You need to take the subscribed medicine such as analgesics, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic medications. After the stitches are removed, if going outside you should wear glasses to protect your eyes from direct sunlight exposure.
