We often tell our patients to avoid going to the sauna after laser treatments. Now, I will explain why one should avoid sauna after lasers and when one can start using it again.

After skin laser treatments, bruising is expected. Even if there is no bruising on the skin, there will be some invisible injuries on the skin.

In hot and humid areas like saunas, there is a high tendency to get inflammation and infection after laser procedures. Therefore, we recommend that one visits the sauna one week after the laser.
