How long does the Blepharoplasty last?

If you have decided to get Upper eyelid blepharoplasty, you must have wondered about the duration of the operation.
The duration of the operation depends on the surgical method and the degree of complexity of the operation.
If you are undergoing Upper blepharoplasty with excess skin removal only and without double fold correction,
the duration of such an operation is about 30-40 minutes. However, If you decide on Upper blepharoplasty
with double eyelid correction, the operation can take 1 to 1 hour 30 minutes on average.
In most cases, if you have sagging upper and lower eyelids, the combination of Upper and Lower blepharoplasty is recommended.
This is called a Circular blepharoplasty since it combines both Upper and Lower blepharoplasty. The duration of such an operation is about 2.5-3 hours.
The operation does not require hospitalization and the patient is discharged immediately after the operation.
However, it is advisable to rest in the patient's room for 20-30 minutes after the operation under the supervision of the medical staff of the clinic.
