Thread Lifting after the Facelift surgery

Surgery 김선희 2024.05.24

Once there was a customer who had a facelift surgery a year ago, felt a slight skin sagging and wanted to undergo an additional thread lifting procedure. Although very satisfied with the results of the facelift, she desired a bit more lifting. So, is this possible?

If you had a facelift surgery a year ago, the procedure is possible. Thread lifting can lift the skin and increase its elasticity.

At She's Plastic Surgery Clinic, we use a mesh-type thread lifting called 'The Up.' A half centimetre incision is made in the scalp area to insert the thread for lifting.

The threads used are absorbable, and the effects last even after the threads dissolve. The incision is closed with about three stitches using dissolvable sutures, so no additional treatment is needed after the procedure.

If you feel some sagging after a certain period post-facelift surgery, combining it with thread lifting can be effective. However, most customers find that the facelift surgery alone provides sufficient results, and additional procedures are rarely needed. Thus, we advise to have a thorough consultation with the doctor before deciding the further procedure.
