Sometimes there are inquiries about lower blepharoplasty at considerably younger age. Mainly it is about having excessive fat under the eyes which cuase the wrinkles.

At younger age, it could be the eyebags due to the excessive fat rather than sagging skin. If there indeed is sagging skin under the eyes but not so much, it is recommended to have 'Petite(small) Lower Blepharoplasty.'

There will be less than 1cm of incision, and the sagging skin and wrinkles will be pulled up. It has quick recovery compared to the normal lower blepharoplasty as there is less cut. The post-surgery treatment will be five days with interval of every two days, and the swelling will last one or two weeks depends on each person. In case you have both excessive fat and sagging skin, it is recommended to combine with lower eyelid fat removal surgery as well.

For your information, 'Petite Lower Blepharoplasty' is NOT the medical terminology; it is rather a nickname that we gave as we only have small incision.
